we are
We are a group of Southern Baptist Churches that cooperate together to reach our area and world for Jesus Christ. We invite local Churches and its members to be on Mission together as described in Matthew 28:16-20 and Acts 1:8.

Director of Mission & Associational Mission Strategist
A native of Laurel/ Jones County Ronney Joe has served First Baptist Church Laurel and First Baptist Church of Shreveport, LA. Now having traveled to more than 5 continents, over 10 countries and numerous states sharing the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, he returns to his Hometown to lead the Churches of Jones County in God’s call to take His love to all the world and our own backyard. Ronney Joe was hired in May of 2025. He is married to Maria and has 3 grown daughters and one grandson. He is a take charge and move forward kind of minister. He will be our Pastor to Pastors and lead our Churches to Missional thinking.

Association Mission Mobilizer
Rena is also a Jones County native that has served in collegiate ministry in the Northeast for several years before returning also to her Hometown to serve as Mission Mobilizer for the last 18 years in our association. Rena mobilizes our church to be on mission for Christ both locally, in our state and nation and internationally with mission serving opportunities for churches and individuals to participate. She does outstanding with our Fair Ministry and engages some 800 volunteers annually. She led a recent Mission trip to Montana and last summer a group to the Paris Olympics. Rena is gifted in mobilizing our church partners to be the hands and feet of Jesus, locally and around the world.

Associational Administrative Assistant
Marcie has been with our Association now over 9 years. She is the face you see when you walk in the front door. She greets and helps both ministers and does the bookkeeping and budget. She is an asset to have served so long as she is well known in our Association. She is married with two grown Children.
